Touchstone Families,

This past month has been a month of exploration for students.  Students in the Toddler classroom have been engaging in activities surrounding penguins, snow and ice.  Our Beginner students have been studying penguins, fish and snow/ice.  Intermediate students have been experiencing life on a farm,  hibernation and bears.  Our Pre-K students have learned about Portland’s bridges, Artic Animals and Comparing fiction and nonfiction texts.

I am happy to announce this month we will be helping the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, with the  fundraiser “Pennies for Patients.”  Each classroom will be collecting coins for this cause.  Our Beginner and Toddler classrooms will be participating with the front office!  Our collection box will be at the front desk and the Intermediate and PreK classrooms will have a collection box in their classrooms.  We will be collecting until February 26th!
