Families,
I want to thank all of you who were able to attend Parent / Teacher Conferences. It was great day spent visiting with families and celebrating your child’s success. It is such a nice time spent with you all.
With the holiday season our school focuses on giving back to the community. This year we have adopted 3 families from the Christmas Family Adoption Foundation. Each family has their own colored tag on our tree. You can take as many tags as you would like and bring the gift/s back to school unwrapped with the tag attached. Families have until the morning of Dec. 16th drop off the unwrapped toy. Together we can make the holiday season a little bit brighter. We will also be having a pajama drive on Dec. 16th to support local kids in need.
The weather is definitely cooler. Please insure your child has a weather appropriate coat to wear to recess as well as two weather appropriate changes of clothes, to keep at school. Your child may have a bag of clothes to take home when you you pick up. While I know extra clothes to wash is not always convenient it does mean you child engaged throughout the day in meaningful, child directed play. It means your child had a sensory experience while indoors or possibly out on our natural playgrounds. We encourage parents to send their children in play clothes.
Inclement Weather- Canceling or Delaying School:
As mentioned above, the weather is changing. With the possibility of snow or ice, there is also the possibility of delayed start or even canceling school. These decisions are never easy and our staff, students and families safety is our top priority. If there is a delay or cancellation of school, please check this website, your Links to Home App. and your email. I will immediately post on the website and send an alert through Links to Home, and email everyone.
