Happy Spring Touchstone Families,
Spring is here and the weather is appropriate for spring. We will have cool mornings, windy days, rainy days and hopefully some warmer days. Please make sure your child’s cubbie has weather appropriate changes of clothing. It helps us keep your child as comfortable as possible while enjoying all types of sensory play.
This month is a busy month for Touchstone staff and students. We start out the May with Kindergarten’s annual testing period. The kindergarten students are well prepared and excited to show off all they know. Testing will take place in my office and as a result my office is closed during the testing time.
Earth day was a huge success and we were featured on KOIN6 news’ webpage. Our students engaged in a ladybug release, planting of school gardens and so much more. Our school gardens look fantastic. The ladybugs provide out gardens with a natural pest repellent. Earth day also provides us the opportunity to have many conversations about recycling, reusing and reducing as ways to also help the earth.
Please remember we have set aside May 26th for Parent Teacher Conferences. There is no school this day, but rather the day is set aside to meet with parents and discuss your child’s progress this current school year and set goals for the school year ahead. Please check your child classroom for to sign up for a time to discuss your child’s progress.
Important Dates:
5/1-5/5: Tuition Due
5/1-5/5: Kindergarten Testing Week
5/1-5/5: Teacher Appreciation Week
5/26: Parent Teacher Conferences: No School
5/29: Memorial Day: No School
