A Note From Our Principal ,
We loved celebrating Week of the Young Child and Earth Day with our students and families! Our classrooms spent the week leading up to Earth Day learning about insects, plants, ecology and making art from recycled materials. For Earth Day students in Intermediate and Pre-Ks made ladybug hats and released 6,000 ladybugs into our school gardens. The Toddlers and Beginner classes explored the dirt and planted flowers in recycled milk jugs. Our school walked 25,600 steps in our Walk-A-Thon.
Parent Breakfast
I would like to invite all the parents of Touchstone students to join me, Wednesday May 2nd for a parent breakfast. This is a chance to slow down your morning, grab something to eat and communicate any questions or concerns you have in regards to this school year, or what is to come in September. This is also a great opportunity for parents to connect with each other and find some common ground, and utilize our school community as a support system.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Monday May, 7th– Friday May 11th
This is a great opportunity for parents to show the wonderful teachers of Touchstone how thankful they are to have them in their child’s lives. This year you are welcome to contribute to a potluck for the Teachers on Tuesday May 8th. Feel free to bring in anything from breakfast, lunch, to snacks on that day. As always individualized gifts for your child’s teacher are more than welcome and greatly appreciated.
