Dear Touchstone Families,
It is hard to believe that we are in our last couple weeks of school already. I feel like it was just yesterday when we were welcoming so many new families and happy faces into our community on the first day of school last September.
Over the last ten months, the students at Touchstone School have worked hard and grown so much. Each day has been filled with laughter, growth, and learning. I would like to thank both the teachers and the parents for working together to make this such a successful school year. I have enjoyed each day with the students and our wonderful Touchstone community!
With the end of the school year comes the start of Summer Camp which begins on Monday, June 18! Each week will be a different theme filled with fun adventures, crafts, and special guests. If you have not yet done so, please make sure you have let your teacher know about any summer plans and if you will not be attending. This will allow us to best keep track of who will be in camp each week.
Many of our current students will be moving up to new classrooms over the summer! This will allow for these students to get to know their new teachers and begin to make new friends. Please note that when you come in on Monday, June 18 your child may be in a new class. We are finalizing the Summer Camp rosters currently and will be letting families know which classroom their child will be by the middle of next week.
As a reminder, please make sure to be sending your child to school with the appropriate attire and ready to go for the day. This includes having sunscreen on your child when you bring them to school each day. Hats, sunglasses, and water bottles are great supplies to have for your child, but often get misplaced this time of year. Please make sure that your child’s first and last name is on them to minimize loss. Sandals are a great shoe for the summer. We kindly request that all sandals have a back so they stay on throughout the day (no flip flops please).
I wish the best for those students who are graduating from Touchstone and moving on to their next chapter. It has been a pleasure to be a part of your child’s educational growth. For those students taking the summer off, we look forward to your return in September to hear all about your summer adventures!
Thank you,
Gordon Kingsley; Principal
